Growing up in a military family, we moved every few years. I saw how quickly new hello’s turned into see you later’s as yet again we packed up and moved to a new state. That’s where it all started for me. This whole photography thing.
Not wanting to miss a moment.
Whether it was everyday life, family vacations, or holidays, taking photos as the day unfolded is how I learned the art of storytelling with my camera.
During moves and vacations, we’d all gather around the computer at the end of the day to watch a slideshow. We laughed and mom was guaranteed to cry happy tears at least once. I’m laughing typing this.
Now that we’re all grown up and starting families of our own, these photos connect us in ways there aren’t really words for. They breath life into the memories we hold so dear. We laugh just as hard, if not harder, at the memories.
This is the type of storytelling I want you to have. Photos that connect you right to those moments with all your closest people, whether it be days, months, or years later.
